Do you ever feel unloved? It is common to feel this way when you are fatherless. When I was growing up I used to be overcome with jealousy towards those who did have fathers. Some of my friends would talk about going on dates with their dads or doing
some type of activity with them, and I would not have anything to say. Also, people used to ask what it was like growing up fatherless, and before I could respond they would say, "Well I guess you do not know what you missed." This question was somewhat ridiculous. How would I not know what I missed? I knew that I did not have someone to call daddy, to protect me, to hug me, to love me, to love me like a daddy loves his little girl. I knew this fact, and I did not know what to do about it, but one day it was revealed to me that God loved me. He loves me like a daddy loves his little girl. It is true God does love us. He loved us so much that He sent His own Son to die for us. You cannot change your father and his mistakes, but you can change how you look at your situation. Though our earthly father may show love to us, our Heavenly Father loves us more than we need, in Jeremiah 31:3 it says, "Yea I have loved thee with an everlasting love." I challenge you today to not forget how much you are loved!
